AquaTerra Completes QuikDeck 10k

We have just hit the significant milestone of installing 10,000m² of our innovative QuikDeck suspended access platform, an alternative to scaffolding.

Introduced to the market by AquaTerra just 2 years ago, it has already been successfully installed on 17 assets for a range of construction tasks including hook up projects in the UK, Germany and Dubai during 2019. It is also currently being used extensively on a major decommissioning project.

Compared to traditional scaffolding, QuikDeck can be constructed and dismantled in less than half the time, delivering significant time and cost savings to clients.

Stephen Taylor, Engineering Director at AquaTerra, said: “During the past two years, we have made a significant capital investment in purchasing 2,500m of QuikDeck, and have already developed a strong track record in delivering the system to our clients internationally. The system offers great advantages for so many applications, improving safety, saving time and money. As a result, our order book for 2020 is strong, so we’re delighted with the result.”

QuikDeck is a suspended, temporary access platform with twice the load bearing capacity of traditional systems yet only half the weight. Engineered by our in-house engineering team, QuikDeck is highly flexible, and can be configured to almost any shape or size for a wide range of construction, decommissioning and maintenance projects. It provides safe and easy access to many hard-to-reach areas offshore, such as the underside of a platform. QuikDeck can be assembled and lowered into position or built in the air.
