AquaTerra Solutions has appointed Alan Ewen as its new Operations Manager responsible for maintaining the development and delivery of their Rope Access work scopes from the company’s headquarters in Aberdeen.

With a long standing career at AquaTerra, Alan began as an offshore Level 3 Rope Access Inspector Team Leader in 2006, rising quickly to Field Engineer and advanced to his last appointment as Manager for West Africa based in Ghana.

Alan has significant experience of both domestic and international, large-scale specialist access projects and will be responsible for leading both the onshore and offshore teams to deliver rope access work scopes for a range of maintenance, inspection, construction and decommissioning projects.

The company is also responding to a healthy demand for its rope access expertise in the likes of potentially hazardous environments such as concrete leg structures offshore. Over the past year the team in Aberdeen has grown with senior recruits filling strategic roles and Alan’s appointment maintains this momentum.

Peter Robinson, Managing Director of AquaTerra, said: “Alan has excellent leadership and management skills and technical expertise in rope access and this appointment makes him a highly valuable addition to our senior team.”

Peter added: “Alan’s growth at AquaTerra is also a classic example of how we like to develop and reward our workforce, ensuring we retain quality personnel throughout the organisation.”
