Global training provider AquaTerra Training Ltd is set to open its doors for the return of The Safety Expo on Thursday, 19th May at the company’s headquarters in Kintore, Aberdeenshire.

The event, developed in partnership with safety literature specialists XIC, was established to raise awareness of the breadth of health and safety expertise that exists in the north-east. It offers HSEQ professionals full access to a wealth of educational content and practical demonstrations from locally-based safety-related product manufacturers and service providers.

“Health and safety represents a major investment for companies and it is therefore important that organisations explore how they can fulfil their HSEQ requirements in the most cost-effective yet robust way,” said Charlie Cameron, training director, AquaTerra Training Ltd. “This is particularly important in the energy sector where the low oil price has acted as a catalyst for aggressive cost-cutting exercises.”

“The Safety Expo is now in its second year and we are delighted to welcome double the amount of exhibitors to the 2016 schedule to showcase their safety-related solutions, products and services.  Our exhibiting companies are keen to show visitors how they can reduce costs while remaining compliant. In many cases, this has been enabled by new health and safety techniques and the development of innovative technologies, which will be on display at the event.”

AquaTerra Training and XIC will be joined on the day by magicians and facilitators, Fifth Dimension, who will prove how magically enhanced training can be used to communicate safety messages. Demonstrations and equipment displays will be provided by training specialists Safer Training and safety equipment hire, sales and service company Total Safety.  Samples of specialist PPE will be available to view courtesy of Portwest and Globus. Additional new exhibitors in 2016 include incident investigation and risk management experts Matrix Risk Control; lighting, power distribution, heating and ventilation solutions provider SA Equip, employee eyecare specialists, SEE and innovative technology specialists VISTEM.

Safety Expo 2016 will take place at AquaTerra House, Midmill Business Park, Kintore on Thursday 19th May from 10am to 4pm. The event is free to attend and includes refreshments and prize draws. To find out more, or to register to attend, visit www.thesafetyexpo.uk
