AquaTerra Group Ltd is looking for a self-motivated individual with oil & gas sector experience to join our team. Our highly accredited engineering support, construction, repair and decommissioning services incorporate specialist access, rigging and lifting, NDT inspection and fabric maintenance for Greenfield and Brownfield projects. Reporting to the Project Engineering Manager this full time, salaried role will be based at AquaTerra’s premises in Kintore, Aberdeenshire.


Supporting the company’s growing construction department, the ideal candidate will be from a projects/construction background with experience in managing and co-ordinating offshore construction activity.

The chosen candidate would have responsibility for:

  • Control and management of assigned projects
  • Oversee / monitor construction related activities, ensuring compliance with approved scopes of work
  • Act as focal point for communications between offshore operations and engineering
  • Management of allocated offshore construction teams including selection of personnel, pre-mobilisation briefings, morning calls and monitoring of productivity and progress
  • Review workscopes and produce estimates
  • Manage budget and equipment usage on live projects
  • Specification and selection of equipment and materials
  • Management of change to workscope
  • Produce, review and approve construction workpacks
  • Conduct offshore Engineering / Construction Surveys
  • Client liason for assigned contracts and projects
  • Attending client meetings, risk reviews, HAZIDs where appropriate
  • Adopt, comply with and promote HSE and Quality System policies, procedures


  • HND or Degree qualified
  • Relevant experience in Greenfield & Brownfield engineering and construction projects
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role
  • Familiar with interpreting structural and mechanical drawings, Piping Isometrics, P&ID’s and lift plans
  • Ability to work to tight schedules and deadlines
  • Willingness to be flexible to accommodate schedules outwith office hours
  • Work well within a team as well as under own initiative
  • Offshore / survey experience desirable
  • Rigging, lifting and specialist access experience useful
  • Familiarisation with lifting, rigging, welding and pipefitting equipment useful


Remuneration dependant on experience and qualifications
